Hyperbaric Oxygen Wound Therapy

Types of wound conditions that may qualify for hyperbaric oxygen therapy include:

  • Acute ischemia (sudden loss of blood flow) to the limb due to trauma or underlying vascular disease
  • Chronic refractory osteomyelitis (resistant bone infections)
  • Chronic wounds due to soft tissue radiation injury
  • Compromised skin grafts or flaps
  • Delayed bone injury due to prior radiation
  • Diabetic ulcers of the lower extremities
  • Non-healing wounds due to crush injury
