Hyperbaric Oxygen Wound Therapy
Types of wound conditions that may qualify for hyperbaric oxygen therapy include:
- Acute ischemia (sudden loss of blood flow) to the limb due to trauma or underlying vascular disease
- Chronic refractory osteomyelitis (resistant bone infections)
- Chronic wounds due to soft tissue radiation injury
- Compromised skin grafts or flaps
- Delayed bone injury due to prior radiation
