Dr. Marisa Chagoya, M.D.

Dr. Marisa Chagoya earned her undergraduate degree with a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from Stanford University in Palo Alto, California and attended medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas. She completed her internal medicine residency at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 2012. Dr. Chagoya stayed in Pittsburgh following the completion of residency and joined Allegheny Hospital as an academic hospitalist where she lead and taught a team of residents and medical students.

Dr. Chagoya is currently board certified in internal medicine. She is a member of the Travis County Medical Society, Texas Medical Association, and American Medical Association.

Dr. Chagoya is excited to begin her wound care career at St. David’s North Austin Medical Center and has committed to a full-time practice in wound care and hyperbaric medicine with a special focus on an interdisciplinary approach to wound healing and limb salvage.

Dr. Chagoya’s personal interests include spending time with her husband, who is also a physician, and their 2 children. She is excited to be back in Texas and thrilled to be living in Austin. In her spare time she enjoys Bikram Yoga, being outdoors, and exploring the amazing city of Austin with her family.
